Hong Kong International Boat Show 2024

The 25th Edition of the Hong Kong International Boat Show 2024 attracted over 5,000 visitors to the four-day event. The in-water show featured 50 boats from Italy, France, Finland, Spain, UK, USA and China.

The Hong Kong International Boat Show 2024, which is supported by the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association (HKBIA) held their AGM during the show. The industry then gathered for a cocktail reception where HKBIA and Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA) members mingled and networked.

HKBIA Chairman, Lawrence Chow gave a presentation titled ’Promote high-quality development of the marine economy’ which have been presented to the MarDep to promote the development of the marine economy. APSA members exhibiting at the show included Simpson Marine, Ferretti Group, Lodestone Yachts, and SEABOB and APSA members visiting the show included Praxis, HFW, Cowie & Co, Yachtstyle, Asia Pacific Boating and Asia Yacht Press.

Some of the highlights of the show included the Ferretti Group’s wallywhy200 featuring the stunning Loro Piana interiors. Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group was in Hong Kong to participate in the Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024, and he also attending the show and discussed how the growing interest of UHNWIs in yachting reflected the evolving luxury market.

Simpson Marine celebrated their 40th Anniversary in Hong Kong, showcasing an impressive fleet that included two notable Sanlorenzo models; the SL86 and the SX88 along with the Farline Squadron 58 and the Axopar 37 Coss Cabin and 25 Cross Top. Guests of Simpson Marine enjoyed a variety of immersive experiences during the show, from coffee tasting to fragrance discovery.

Club Marina Cove General Manager, Miss Winnie Ng, said the Club would continue to support the development of the boating industry which has a growing importance in the local economy. “We hope the Government could recognise the increasing demand for pleasure boat moorings and berths. An increase could benefit the industry which in turn contributes to more employment and business for shipyards, marine equipment, services and supplies and marine tourism.”
