Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) brings Asia to Monaco Yacht Show

The mood throughout Asia Pacific and the superyacht industry is increasingly upbeat with news of changing regulations favouring visiting yachts and new world-class marinas.  Representing a dozen plus Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) agencies, directors are looking forward to sharing news at the APS Stand DS26 (in the air-con Darse Sud Tent) at the Monaco Yacht Show, held in the glamorous principality from 24 - 27 September 2025.

“It’s exciting to return to Monaco once again and we are excited to share news of the growth and new developments in Asia Pacific’s tropical cruising paradises of Maldives, Seychelles, Thailand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore & more”, reports APS GM & co-founder, Gordon Fernandes. “We are thrilled to discuss how Asia Pacific regions will enhance the worldwide marine tourism industry with revised charter license laws along with changes that will make it so much easier and less costly for more superyachts to visit islands, now more accessible than ever in the past, along with details of the new high standard marinas.”

“An example is the new Phuket Marina Development, set to transform the Cape Panwa Peninsular at Ao Markham. The deep seaport nestled strategically at the southernmost tip of the island, ONE°15 Marina Panwa Phuket will now be the nearest departure point to the captivating Phi Phi Islands.”

“Governments in many of the island countries are looking to support the yachting community and industry by also allowing more marinas to be constructed and expanded”, comments Mohamed Hameed, Managing Director of the Maldivian branch of APS. “Zamani Islands Superyacht Marina will launch in 2026, marking a new era for those seeking to cruise the Maldivian waters. This cutting-edge project aims at transforming the superyacht experience into an exceptionally luxurious convenience. The project will encompass eight islands extending 5 kilometres into a natural lagoon, offering the country’s first Yacht Club and a 60,000 sq. mtr. Superyacht Marina.”

“Seychelles represents luxurious and untouched frontiers for vessels and the Eden Island marina offers an unparalleled berthing experience for all sizes, including superyachts up to 120 meters”, says APS Seychelles GM Gilbert d’Offay. “The marina itself forms a part of Eden Island, with access to a host of services and amenities right at the marina's edge and many more a short stroll from your berthing location.”

“A first for Sri Lanka is the new Colombo City Marina, designed to become the country’s new luxury maritime destination. The Marina will house as many as 250 mid-sized vessels alongside hotels, gourmet dining, retail outlets, entertainment centers, and recreational areas”, enthuses Priyantha Perera, Director of APS Sri Lanka.  Perera adds, “Yacht guests can craft a unique itinerary that includes sampling the best of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine and one-of-a-kind events such as ‘Stilt Fishing,’ an authentic experience not found anywhere else in the world.”

Bali’s Port of Benoa is undergoing a major revamp and will have a brand-new full-service Marina. The strategically located Marina amenities will include a prestigious yacht club, modern yacht service, luxury hospitality options and commercial areas with extensive retail, offices, entertainment and dining outlets.  The Marina will set a new benchmark for yachting facilities in the region.

The beauty of these destinations along with the culture and the welcoming smiles and gracious nature of the islands’ people is unique to the Asia Pacific region, providing a special ambience of remote land and sea beauty for luxury yachts.
